Located near the iconic Belur Math, headquarters of the Ramakrishna Mission, this dining hall draws inspiration from the surrounding temple architecture, harmoniously blending traditional design with modern functionality. Designed to serve nearly 1 lakh people across three levels, it accommodates 7,000 diners per seating, making it a remarkable example of large-scale community architecture. A circular ramp leads to the upper levels, culminating in a rotunda that serves as a waiting and gathering space. The central dome features elliptical openings that bring in natural light, creating dynamic patterns throughout the day. Thoughtful landscaping, open spaces, and structural detailing ensure both efficiency and aesthetic balance—embodying the values of unity, service, and devotion that define Belur Math.
